Abbie grew up in Nebraska. After obsessively watching Shirley Temple movies as a young child, she decided she'd love nothing more than to pursue acting as soon as she could. She performed in school plays and community theater until she graduated, then moved to Los Angeles to start her journey.
Abbie booked her first role on Disney's “Starstruck” and continued working with Disney Channel on shows like “Pair of Kings,” “Good Luck Charlie: It's Christmas!,” “Jonas: LA,” and “Imagination Movers.” She eventually moved on to guest star on other networks, in shows like “American Horror Story,” “NCIS: LA” and “NCIS: New Orleans,” “Grey's Anatomy,” “The Mentalist,” and “True Blood.”
Forever sixteen, Abbie Cobb landed the recurring role of "Kimantha" on the popular ABC series, “Suburgatory.” She also co-stars in the feature films: “Mom's Night Out,” “Boy in the Attic,” and Lifetime's “90210 Story.” Most recently, she starred in the ABC drama pilot, “Warriors,” and CW's pilot, "Cheerleader Death Squad."
Prior to "Suburgatory", Abbie had recurring roles on both CW's “90210” and ABC Family's “The Secret Life of the American Teenager.”
Abbie is a sought-after keynote speaker at acting conferences and workshops, where she shares her book, "Stuck on a Ferris Wheel", to inform and encourage actors.
René Ashton is a woman of multiple talents and interests. Her passion for acting has landed her more than 100 commercials and dozens of network television shows.
Not only does René act, she writes her own material. Her first film, the romantic comedy, BE MY BABY starring herself and Lacey Chabert is available on DVD and television worldwide. SPERM DONOR stars Alan Thicke, Missi Pyle, David Liesure, Simon Rex, and René. ACTORS ANONYMOUS, stars herself, Sally Kirkland and Lorenzo Lamas, it won the 3 festivals entered, including an offer for a development deal w/VH1. Her romantic comedy, SHRINK-ISH was just optioned and René will star in the film in 2018. But wait, there's more...her comedic drama, BOY’S NAME, is next in the pipe line.
Directing seemed to be the next natural course of things, so René wrote, produced and directed the short film, SERIAL DATER and most recently completed writing/directing/producing/acting in the web series, 40’S AND FAILING.
René has taken another direction with her writing skills, penning books. LIGHTS, CAMERA… YOU! MAKE MONEY DOING TV COMMERCIALS IN LOS ANGELES OR ANY TOWN, USA and HOW TO STOP HATING YOUR EX SO YOU CAN CO-PARENT IN PEACE, are both available on Amazon and in various bookstores.
